Tuscany, Italy

The Maremma is an area of coastal land of approximately 5000km which includes most of South-Western Tuscany and part of Northern Lazio. It was traditionally occupied by the “Butteri” or cattle herders and still is home to the Maremma cowboy. The area is also home to many Etruscan and Roman archeological sites and the fascinating hill towns of Pitigliano, Sorano, and Sovana built on tufa cliffs. One cannot talk about Tuscany without mention of the fabulous wines of the region as well as the mouth watering food.

We will also be journeying to the Val d’Orcia area of Tuscany to explore the famous rolling landscapes, taste the fabulous wines and food of the area and visiting the producers of wine, cheese and honey. Come and join us for this amazing feast for soul as well as the senses!
