Welcome In The New Year with Travel!
Well now that all the Holiday Hoopla is over and we’re all looking forward to Spring it’s a good time to think about traveling and travel plans. We have four tours planned for this year. Three in Italy, and one in France. The Two Spring tours start out with an eight-day tour in Sardinia. We love this tour and have done it twice before. For that reason this will most likely be the last time we will offer this particular tour. There are just several other tours we have yet to do and, well let’s put it this way, I’m not getting any younger if you know what I mean. We visit the fascinating “Nuraghi”, bronze age structures built between the 18th and 17th centuries BCE. We Hike through the cork forest of the Parco della Giara and see the wild horses. Eat and drink fabulous food and wine, visit a women’s weaving cooperative where they weave traditional Sardinian designs and much more. Our newest offering is an eight-day trip to Tuscany’s Maremma region. Not a well-known area for most tourists but an amazing food and wine area none the less. We will be visiting a 10th century castle, with a wine tasting and lunch, exploring the town of Pitigliano built right out of the Tufa stone cliffs, and also seeing the “butteri” or Maremma cowboys in their daily life and stay in an authentic Italian Borgo (small village) in the Val d’Orcia and much more. Our last tour for 2025 we will be returning to the region of Umbria, Tuscany’s neighboring region with incredible food and wine as well as some festivals we will be in the area for, a truffle hunt and cooking class with wine pairing of the food we will prepare which should be great fun. There is a marvelous stained glass studio we will visit as well as an olive oil frantoio that has been in the same family since the 1700s. All while staying in an honest to goodness Castle! There is another change coming in May. The European Travel Information and Authorization System or ETIAS is supposed to go online sometime during that month. Not to worry though, it will be an easy and quick online application with a small fee that will be attached to your passport. This is also a good time to check and make sure your passport is up to date. The application will not be accepted if your passport has less than 6 months left before the expiration date. You can find out more information at www.etiaseu.com. We are excited to have you join us on any one of these tours so give us a call or book directly online Today!
A presto!
